2013 Lamborn Cabernet Sauvignon 1.5L
Tasting Notes: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is the denser of the two wines, but also more structured and tannic. It has notes of pen ink, blackberry, licorice, camphor, and a touch of subtle oak in the background. The wine is full-bodied and ripe with moderate tannin. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon made by Heidi Barrett. I suspect it will last for a good 20-25 years.” - Robert Parker, Jr. (93+ points)
Winemaker's Notes: A beautiful expression of what a mountain top vineyard can produce in a textbook growing season, this estate Cabernet displays concentrated aromas of classic blueberry and currant. Napa Valley occasionally produces vintages that are more tannic than others, such as this one. Though soft, there are plenty of tannins sure to please all Cab lovers. Multilayered rich blue fruit is enhanced by toasted French oak, leaving a long, luxurious finish. This is a Cabernet for the ages.
