Tasting Notes: Produced from a vine yielding small fruit that is concentrated and structured,
this is a wine of intense richness. Offering a traditional Rutherford Dust
profile, it’s classically elegant, big and powerful on the palate, with tannins
that are seamlessly smooth. Blackberry and cherry, paired with minerality
and Rutherford’s earthy character, leap from the glass.
Tasting Notes: The 2016 vintage offers an unforgettable experience with a bouquet of rose petals, spiced tea, boysenberry, and dark plum. On the palette it is balanced and elegant showing nuances of chocolate, anise, black cherry, and raspberry. With its layers and depth, this wine gives a compelling finish.
Tasting Notes: One of the top pure Grenache releases in California is the 2016 Grenache Basilisk from the genius of Helen Keplinger. Coming all from the Greywacke Vineyard in the Russian River Valley, which is largely Pinot Noir country, this sensational effort boasts a ruby color as well as a huge bouquet of blueberries, ripe cherries, violets, crushed rocks, and a garrigue-like quality that’s hard to find outside of France’s Southern Rhône Valley. Medium to full-bodied, pure, and seamless on the palate, with nothing out of place and perfect balance.
Tasting Notes: This Rhône-style red’s bright and expressive nose brims with wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, blackberry compote, black tea and a hint of black pepper. Medium bodied with fine tannins and a plush mouthfeel, it offers layers of red and dark fruits, garrigue, coriander and Middle Eastern spices, leading into an exceptionally long finish.
Tasting Notes: Blueprint 2015 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon heralds from another classic vintage, one with very low yields but very high quality. It has that signature Blueprint profile of blackfruits (blackberry, black cherry, boysenberry, and black currant) together with gorgeous spice and vanillin from the French oak barrels. Lush, delicious and rich, this Blueprint bottling will delight just about everyone.
Tasting Notes: Grown on the Mayacamas Faultline, this blend from Skipstone offers a powerful expression of its terroir. Aromatic in a glass, displaying notes of cranberry and blackberry, accompanied by a pure mineral note of graphite. With much texture on the palate, you experience baking spice, dried fig, cranberry, and rose buds.
