Tasting Notes: A super complex nose leaps from the glass, showing dark and red fruits, cassis, graphite, and lead pencil layered seamlessly. A broad palate opens to reveal black fruits, hint of red currant, and fresh tobacco leaf, all leading to a mile long silky finish.
Tasting Notes: Born from a plethora of skin contact, this wine has an opaque black-purple hue in the glass. The aromatic profile swells out of the glass with notes of charred meat, plum reduction, baking spices, tack room, and lavender. The palate expression is layered with blackberry, dark chocolate, oolong tea, flint, graphite and violet. While the wine is intricately packed, it also moves across the palate with a viscous, sleek quality that nods to the fine, integrated tannin profile. This wine possesses a rare quality of having incredible density and power, while also maintaining an even-keeled transition from entry to the long, flowery finish.
Tasting Notes: With a nearly opaque deep garnet color in the glass, the 2017 Complant Cabernet intrigues with bright blueberry, raspberry, violet, graphite, mesquite, spearmint and leather on the nose. The fruit is followed by a rich mid-palate with well-integrated tannins and a long finish.
Tasting Notes: Dark cherry, fresh blueberry and cassis notes pop out of the glass immediately, and are underlined by subtle hints of spice, vanilla bean and dark chocolate notes. The palate-entry bursts with ripe raspberry and blackberry elements. The fruit profile is supported by a well-rounded tannin structure that carries the fruit through to an extended finish. In classic Left Bank fashion, the Cabernet Franc blends into the wine to add brightness and a lush tannin profile.
Tasting Notes: Comprised of the best lots from our Estate vineyards in Calistoga, this Napa Valley blend is the Right Bank Bordeaux-style counterpart to Le Gauchister and is inspired by all great things oriented to the right. Bright, ripe cherry and flavors of fresh raspberry preserves are accentuated with hints of vanilla bean and confectioner's sugar. The fruit profile partnered with lush, well-integrated tannins carry you through for a lengthy finish.
Tasting Notes: The 2014 Coup de Foudre Cuvee offers aromatic notes of fresh blackberry and raspberry, flowed by roasted walnuts and vanilla bean. The body has a focused intensity with polished tannins and balanced structure. Produced from a Calistoga Estate Vineyard, this wine was barrel-aged for 18 months with 70% new oak.
Tasting Notes: The Les Bouquinistes offers a lively and high energy wine. On the nose sweet wildflowers, cherry, and currant dance with rich notes of earth. This wine is alluring and well rounded simply showing flavors of strawberry, tarte bing cherry, and violet.
Tasting Notes: The Coach Insignia is comprised of the finest selected lots of Bordeaux varietals from the Fisher's Calistoga Estate. Nestled at the foot of The Palisades mountain range, these vines grow on an alluvial fan that slopes gently west, following Simmons Creek to the Napa River. The wine packs a serious punch: bold and explosive in the glass, the 2015 is going to need at least a few years in bottle to settle down. The flavors are dark, bold and incisive in this virile, brooding Cabernet Sauvignon. Hints of leather, smoke and scorched earth add complexity throughout.
Tasting Notes: The 2016 Gandona Estate is aromatic and expressive with ripe blueberries, blackberry compote, violets, and cocoa nib taking center stage, underlain by notes of sweet earth, crushed rocks, and cigar box. With a dense and concentrated structure, it makes an impressive entrance, driving straight to the top with a pulsating acidity that elevates the fruit and holds its position front and center. Polished tannins build and round with time. The 2016 Gandona exudes power and finesse while still being light on its feet. The lengthy, mineral finish is a grand finale that is deserving of a standing ovation.
Tasting Notes: The location of the 2017 Hourglass Estate Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards alone sets the stage for this beautifully crafted wine. On the nose you experience toasted espresso, cherry, fresh tobacco, and violets. The delicate fruit profile of pomegranate, blackcurrant, and red cherry follows savoury notes of black olive and saddle leather. The elevated acidity is complemented with silky tannins, showcasing a beautiful relationship of finesse and elegance.
Tasting Notes: This Rhône-style red’s bright and expressive nose brims with wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, blackberry compote, black tea and a hint of black pepper. Medium bodied with fine tannins and a plush mouthfeel, it offers layers of red and dark fruits, garrigue, coriander and Middle Eastern spices, leading into an exceptionally long finish.
