A lifetime of designing and constructing in steel has enabled Fortington to sculpt soft and flowing natural shapes in this strong and durable medium. A master metal worker, William Fortington has developed machinery and techniques that allow his refined flower sculptures to evolve from simple shapes to the complex new varieties, some botanically correct and others whimsical and over-sized. Each work grows individually from cutting to shaping to the final patination.
