Steven Gordon
Light is the most important component in Steven Gordon's powerful, luminous landscapes of California. Since the late l970's, Gordon has been focusing on the visual impact of the changing light and its effects on the Napa Valley. Out of his continued exploration have come oil painting and pastels of rare immediacy. Born in Illinois, Gordon has an MFA from Washington University School of Fine Arts in St. Louis and has exhibited in many prestigious venues on both the East and West coasts.
