Christine Walker

Christine Walker's inspired monotypes and paintings are dances of movement and gesture, always drawing from nature and letting a memory, music or the art dictate the next move. Educated first in Kansas at the University of Kansas and the Kansas City Art Institute, she moved to California and took an MA in Interdisciplinary Creative Arts at San Francisco State University. She also holds an MFA in writing and literature from Bennington College in Vermont. In addition to her artwork, she has also published a delightful book titled ,"A Painter's Garden: Cultivating the Creative Life" and is the co-author, co-song writer and illustrator of "Wooleycat's Muscial Theater", a book and CD for children. Christine's artwork has appeared in solo and group exhibitions throughout the US and can be found in many important public collections.
